Travels and Adventures

I like to travel. I've been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to do so for vacation and work. I've recently made the decision that when my kids become teenagers, I'm going to take them backpacking for a month.

So far I've been through parts of Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, East Germany, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, Holland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Indonesia, Iraq, Israel, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Luxemburg, Macau, Mexico, Monaco, Russia, Switzerland, Thailand, Turkey, and the Vatican.

Countries that I've tried but failed to reach: Algeria, Bosnia, and Yugoslavia.

Trips and Travels

• 2006 family trip to Hong Kong for Paul and Windy's wedding. Quite an extraordinary trip really.
• In 2000, my first year with Silver Oak, I took a 1-week vacation to Paris and Amsterdam - frequent flyer miles are about the only benefit of flying on business. We had a trip to Italy planned in 2001, but had to cancel to kick off a project.
• 1996 Pac Rim Trip -- a Haas trip to Bangkok, Jakarta, and Tokyo.
• 1997 Pac Rim Trip -- a Haas trip to Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. This time we took an extra week and enjoyed New Year's Eve in Southern Thailand.
• BA 297 Adventure to Russia -- Endless days in St. Petersburg.
• After Haas, I took at 5 week trip to the Middle East with a classmate. We backpacked through Egypt, Jordan, Israel, Turkey, and Greece.
