Painting Miniatures Figures Made Quick And Easy
Painting Warhammer 40K Imperial Assassins
These are actually ridiculously easy to paint because they aren't super detailed. Here's my take on a Vindicare and Callidus assassins.
Step-by-Step
- Prime the figure black.
- Give the entire figure a heavy drybrush of VMC Basalt Grey.
- Basecoat all of the metal VGC Gunmetal Metal.
- Basecoat the pouches Citadel Beastial Brown or Citadel Bubonic Brown, the ammunition Citadel Blood Red, the visor Citadel Ultramarine Blue, and the straps Citadel Snakebite Leather.
- Wash the entire model with a mix of Liquitex Paynes Grey, Liquitex Glaze Medium, and some water.
- Drybrush the metal parts with VGC Gunmetal and then a little bit of VGC Silver.
- Drybrush the the body suit with a little bit of the VMC Basalt Grey.
- Paint the brass areas VGC Brassy Brass.
- Wash the brass with a mix of Liquitex Raw Umber and water.
- Line the edges of the brass sections with VMC Glorious Gold.
- For the Callidus assassin, I basecoated the hair braid and power sword with Citadel Enchanted Blue then highlighted witha mix of Citadel Ice Blue and Citadel Skull White.
- Use straight Skull White to paint the flat strip on the power sword.
- Base.
- Seal.
